Goes to London
There are three English Literature from Indonesia go to London, England for their study tour. They plan to visit three famous places in England such as Madame Tussaud Museum, Buckingham Palace, and London Eye. Firstly, they’ll visit Madame Tussaud Museum that It’s located in Marylebone Road. They go there by bus and they pay 4 pound sterling for the bus cost.
At Madame Tussaud Museum…
Cintya : “Hei…! Look. We’re already arrived.”
Aulia : “Yup. What a big museum…!”
Mery : “Let’s go inside. I can’t wait.”
They’re entering to the museum after paying the ticket.
Aulia : “Hei… there’s a wax statue of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.”
Mery : “Take my photo with them please.”
When they want to take a picture, one of them nudge with the elbow a citizen of London.
Cintya : “Oh, pardon me.”
Devi : “No problem. You’re foreign tourist, aren’t you?”
Mery : “Yes, we’re student of English from Indonesia. I’m Mery, let me introduce my friends to you. This is Cintya and this is Aulia.
Devi : “Hey… I’m Natalie. I’m British people. Do you need a guide?”
Aulia : “Oh yes, we need. Thanks for helping.”
Devi : “This museum established in 1845. It built by a France woman named Marie Grosholz.”
Cintya : “Then, why does the name of this museum become Madame Tussaud?”
Devi : “Because Marie married a man named François Tussaud, so she well-known as Madame Tussaud.”
Mery : “Oh I see… how many statues in this wax museum…?”
Devi : “It’s about 200 wax statues here.”
Aulia : “There’s a wax statue of Tom Cruise isn’t it? I love him so much.”
Devi : “Yes, you’re right. There are so much wax statue of Politicians, Historians, Musicians, Athlete and Stars.”
Cintya : “And the Royal Family right?”
Mery : “Yes, let’s take some pictures with the Royal Families.”
They walk around the museum and sometimes take some pictures with many famous wax statues i.e. Jackie Chan, Julia Roberts, Bill Clinton, Nelson Mandela, etc.
Mery : “Look! That’s David Beckham; he looks real, very handsome with his England National team Uniform.”
Devi : “Yeah… the replica is made based on the real body shape of person.”
Aulia : “Great…” The replica of Barack Obama looks real.”
Cintya : “I’m so glad because I can come here. Thanks for your explaining, Natalie.”
Finally, they arrive at exit door of museum. In there, they must pay every photo that they take by 2 pound.
Aulia : “Thank you very much, Natalie. Nice to meet you.”
Devi : “Nice to meet you too. See you next time.”
Cintya : “See you…”
Now, they will visit Buckingham Palace. The palace where Princess Elizabeth Live. They go to there by bus ticket that they’ve bought because in London one bus ticket for one day gets in every bus there. In Buckingham Palace…
Mery : “Buckingham palace is very beautiful.”
Aulia : “Yes, besides a lot of tourist come here.”
Suddenly, Mery and Aulia look Cintya is talking with a woman who looks like a citizen of London.
Cintya : “Excuse me; can we enter to Buckingham Palace?”
Wela : “No we can’t. We can only see from outside the hence.”
Mery and Aulia look at Cintya and the Girl. Then approach them.
Aulia : “Hey Cin, what are you doing here?”
Cintya : “Oh… I am asking her whether we can enter or not”
Wela : “Are you all Asian people?”
Mery : “Yes, we are English literature Student from Indonesia. I’m Mery.”
Wela : “I’m Alice. I’m British people. And you?”
Aulia : “I’m Aulia.”
Cintya : “I’m Cintya. Nice to meet you.”
Wela : “Nice to meet you too. By the way do you like Buckingham Palace?”
Aulia : “Of course. We like Buckingham Palace and we also like Royal Family.”
Wela : “They are very popular here and Queen Elizabeth lives inside the Buckingham Palace.”
Mery : “Why can’t enter to Buckingham Palace?”
Wela : “It’s because to keep their privacy and we don’t know, maybe one of the tourist who come here is tourist or infiltrator.”
Cintya : “Besides as queen’s palace, Buckingham palace is also used for?”
Wela : “For many important royal events such as Royal Wedding and to greet important guests.”
Mery : “Very interesting. In Indonesia we also have state palace, but not as popular as this palace.”
Wela : “Oh… I see, this palace also becomes centre for British people.”
Aulia : “Where does another prince live?”
Wela : “They live in some palace such as Hampton Court and Clarence House.”
Cintya : “Wow… very cool. Do you know the most interesting place in London?”
Wela : “Of course. You must go to London Eye and try it!”
Aulia : “Can you accompany us to go there?”
Wela : “My pleasure.”
Mery : “Do we go there by bus again?”
Wela : “Yes, the ticket that you’ve bought for one full day.”
Cintya : “Let’s go.”
Finally, the three English Literature Students and a citizen of London go to London Eye that also called Millennium Wheel where place in river Themes front. Their trip in London is very please. Then, they end the trip and gather breath in Saint Georges Hotel.
